Coming Soon to a Dog Lodge near you.....

Whilst we had time off in July, the Dog Lodge turned 8 years old! I know, I can’t quite believe it has been that long myself. I had been thinking for some time about adding in new services and this milestone spurred me on.

In those 8 years, we have gained boundless amounts of experience and knowledge, whether it be via day-to-day work, different events and situations, or from the amount of studying I constantly do (especially with regards to canine behaviour and nutrition). So, today I am going to share with you the new and exciting plans we have for the dog lodge.

To begin with, In September, I am going to be starting up a little online shop. The aim is to mostly sell items that are cruelty free, natural and environmentally friendly. There will be a variety of items, some of which will be aimed at raising money for charity. The first item for sale will be a range of compostable poop bags which I already use on a daily basis.

Next in the new plans I will be offering a Pre/Post New Dog Consultation. This consultation is aimed at those who are considering a new pet, already having a pet but has not yet arrived, or the pet is well established, and the human may need some assistance and guidance. This will be a 90 minutes session where I give help and recommendations. This will include a pack full of helpful information and I will also be available to help with further guidance and support following the visit.

Lastly but by no means least, I will be offering a Pet Bereavement Counselling service. This wont happen just yet as I am currently studying for my diploma. Throughout my time running the Cambridge dog lodge, I have had to help pet carers through the loss of their pet so I decided I wanted to become a pet bereavement counsellor. Losing any pet, whether it be a dog, a cat, a mouse, a horse, can be incredibly traumatic and heart breaking; they are never JUST an animal.

So, watch this space for any updates!

In the meantime, enjoy the photos from the last few weeks to make everyone smile x
