I had a lovely call today with a client who is about to get her puppy. Her puppy journey started some months ago, but now the time of arrival is getting close and I am getting very excited for them. I cant wait to meet their new family member!
She came to me knowing that not only did I offer a puppy guidance service that assists you every step of the way. But also because she knows I make it my mission to ensure every puppy has the best start in life and every family is equipped to give that puppy the beginning it deserves and follow it through for the rest of its life.
Each year, people buy puppies with what they think is the best of intentions. But before they know it, life is hard, they discover the puppy they have is growing into a dog they do not understand, and the young dog is now destructive or aggressive or just plain out of its mind! Most of these dogs end up in rescues, or worse put sleep.
I am not saying I can stop that happening completely, but I can do my best to assist many people to choose breeds wisely, have a plan in place for when their new pup arrives, be open to learning and understanding their new family member, and give them what they need to live their best life! This way, we can stop many disasters that maybe waiting to happen.
